Most of these venues run their Halloween programming across the whole of October half-term, not just Halloween night itself — so there's no need to cram everything into the Saturday.
Before you head out
A few things worth knowing before planning a trip further afield:
- Pumpkin patches are usually busiest on the final weekend before Halloween — a weekday visit means shorter queues for picking and parking.
- After-dark events such as Dark Saga Tours and illuminated trails often have age guidance — check before booking for younger children.
- Sunset on 31 October is around 5:40pm, so evening trails and lantern-lit sites are worth arriving for just as it gets dark.
